From her world to fashion
Clémence was born in 1990 in Asnières-sur-Seine, in the Hauts-de-Seine region of France. From a very young age, she was captivated by two passions that shaped her identity: dance and fashion. Dance fueled her throughout her childhood until she was 19. Simultaneously, fashion served as another form of expression for Clémence. Her love for fashion led her to create looks that reflected her personality.
After completing her secondary education degree, she decided to carve her path in the realm of fashion. In 2011, she joined the Atelier Chardon Savard, a prestigious fashion school in Paris. It was there that her heart ignited a new passion: knitwear. Clémence became involved in machine weaving, a demanding discipline that combines creativity and technical expertise. Her diligent work paid off when she earned her diploma as a knitwear designer in 2015.
However, after obtaining her diploma, Clémence's life takes an unexpected turn. The death of her mother during her final year of studies plunges her into a pit of uncertainties. Her inspiration dwindles, and her vision of fashion loses its luster. To take a step back and clear her mind, Clémence decides to take a break and change her environment.
For four years, she works in the retail sector, learning about merchandising and management. In 2020, the onset of the lockdown marked the closure of non-essential shops and travel restrictions. It's in this enforced silence that she reconnects with her passion for knitwear. The simple act of creating with her hands becomes a breath of fresh air, a new artistic awakening. Inspiration quickly resurfaces, and she begins designing new pieces using her knitting needles.

2022 marked the end of a lengthy confinement. It was at this precise moment that the idea of sharing her art with the rest of the world began to sprout, giving birth to her own brand: 'The New Elisabeth,' paying tribute to her mother, the source of her inspiration and support. Each piece of her brand is a work of art, crafted with meticulous attention to detail.

Each piece is a custom-tailored poem, allowing every client to define the melody of their own style. She wants to get to know her clients and share moments with them that will belong to them for life. For Clémence, true elegance lies in the ability to create a piece that reflects the soul of the person who wears it.
With 'The New Elisabeth,' we reinvent knitwear, weaving a love story between the creator, the material, and the client. Her journey, marked by pain and rediscovery, is a tribute to the art of perseverance. Clémence is an artist, a creator, a poetess of knitwear; she weaves dreams into every thread she handles.
